MS POS 2009 Update

We are running a little behind schedule with updates but the results so far have been very positive.
We are running a little slow because unlike a normal upgrade, the move from Store Operations to MS POS 2009 represents a major change to the software interface and the underlying database. It has also required us to take the time to rewrite most of our PJM Tech Tips and Kristopher is hard at work converting our standard reports - both of these projects are moving right along.
We have also taken the time to figure out how to insert NYS County-Based Tax tables into an existing database - something we thought we might have to key enter. Per our earlier notes, taxes got a whole lot better (if taxes can be better) in MS POS 2009.
For those customers who have already upgraded, the results have been great. And for those customers who are completely new to the software and are using MS POS 2009 out of the box - they have found staff training to be a snap with the new POS Touch Screens.
So with a few upgrades and new installs under our belts - things should start moving along a little faster and we will be talking to you soon about getting you on the schedule.

Through a friend I was recently introduced to Mike O'Brian, "The Travel Guy" for Time Warner's 24 Hour News Program. Some of you may have seen some of his travel pieces on the news.
